Loose Bladder Construction (LBC) patented and made famous by Tachikara, is used in top peformance volleyballs. It allows a layer of air to circulate between the inside bladder and the special blend cotton canvas/leather outside cover. This results in a perfectly balanced volleyball with better flight stability and softer touch. It made its competitive debut at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games.
